The Joint Neurosciences Council is keen to appoint an Honorary Secretary
The Joint Neurosciences Council meets three times a year and is the forum that brings the neuroscience specialty association leadership together. The committee has representation at the National Neuro Advisory Group and is responsible, among other things, for running ebrain which is a very large online educational resource. The role is for four years, commencing January 2020. The secretary will be a trustee of JNC, the post does not take up a large amount of time and would be suitable for a senior clinician working within the clinical neurosciences. Applications must be received by the end of November please.

There are opportunities to develop a career delivering state-of-the-art treatment from hyper-acute intervention with thrombectomy to pushing the boundaries of rehabilitation with robotics.
The national recruitment process for sub-specialty training in stroke medicine opens in November 2019. This is for programmes in England and Wales and starting from August 2020.

Masters Degree / Diploma / Postgraduate Certificate in Stroke Medicine (MMedSci Stroke) at Keele University
This award has been designed to facilitate the learning of the generic skills and knowledge essential to successful higher clinical practice. The emphasis is on stroke care, but also covers areas such as an understanding of Leadership for Health Professionals, Evidence Based Medicine, Healthcare Ethics and Clinical Research.
Each module consists of a mixture of different types of delivery, with some on line learning and face to face teaching, utilising a mixture of seminars, group work or short lectures.
There are a number of CORE modules and then a wide range of other generic modules that are optional. We have designed the award to be as flexible as possible, including enabling students to study some modules from other Keele awards.
The Voting system will activate during the next set of elections. When a new election cycle begins you will be notified and be able to cast your vote accordingly.
