Dear BASP Member
The following BASP Executive Committee positions are available for the term beginning March 2020:
- Treasurer – 2 year term
- External Engagement Lead – 3 year term
The post of BASP Treasurer is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the BASP Executive to deliver our new strategic objectives. We would like to re-iterate that you do not require financial experience or skills for this role. All actions are well supported by a book-keeper from our management company Fitwise. The main criteria are that the applicant for treasurer should: have expertise and experience in stroke; and be enthusiastic about improving stroke care in the UK and contributing to the BASP Executive Committee.
The External Engagement member of the BASP Executive Committee is an exciting new role designed to substantially raise BASP’s profile and reach a much larger audience including trainees, students, policy-makers, news media, other professional organisations, and all relevant stakeholders including people living with stroke and the general public. The main criteria are that the applicant for External Engagement lead should: have expertise and experience in stroke; be enthusiastic about improving stroke care in the UK and contributing to the BASP Executive Committee; and (ideally) have relevant experience of social media (including Twitter) and communications for professional purposes.
